“During field work in 1978, in the Guaimaraya region in the middle course of the Caquetá River, I had the fortune to discover a set of petroglyphs (engraved in stone), which allowed me to establish analogies with a myth that great number of variations especially in the Amazon: The Ancestral Anaconda (Origin of Humanity).

In the 20 years of my life that I have been traveling in the area with some regularity, I have managed to detect a total of two thousand petroglyphs that had not yet been reported. I have been reporting on these discoveries in several books, articles, interviews, photo and video exhibitions, university courses and numerous conferences.”
